Supported Independent Living (SIL)

Supported Independent Living is a program that helps you live more independently while still having access to support services. It offers assistance with everyday tasks like cooking, personal care, and managing medications. You’ll also receive support to develop your skills and become more independent in the community. This includes help with managing finances, improving social and communication skills, and handling household chores.

With SIL, you’ll receive help with essential tasks such as cooking, cleaning, personal hygiene, and medication management, all while learning valuable skills that promote self-sufficiency. The program is flexible and tailored to your needs, ensuring that the support you receive is just enough to help you maintain your independence without feeling restricted.

In addition to practical help at home, Supported Independent Living encourages community involvement and personal growth. Whether it’s learning how to budget, enhancing your communication abilities, or navigating public transportation, the goal is to build your confidence and skills so you can participate more fully in your community. You’ll also have access to social and recreational activities that foster connection and help you build meaningful relationships.
